Riley and Flo sport matching denim onsies at Dirtbag
Thursday
Weekly or monthly, neighborhood or downtown Thursday is a night for favorites Dirtbag! and Drop Shop. I’ll be swillin’ at the perfect little party that could in one of my favorite just big enough locations on Alberta St. Of course, don’t forget the first night of artsy schmoozing at the exciting and all ages Siren Nation festival, which continues all weekend.
Friday
Homomentum: Rebels & Outlaws – The monthly variety show of thematic queer fabulousness is back from summer break with more mayhem and a new location. Downtown’s Fez Ballroom (SW 13th and Stark) should be a much better venue with more room for watching than last year’s now defunct E Room. I have been especially devoid of Catitude in my life lately and I can’t wait to see what they do with such a rebellious theme. Little Tommy Bang Bang & Slim Pickins, Swagger and the long missed All of the Above, should also have some hilarity mixed with hotness that I just can’t wait for.

This weekend saw the opening of BIGGER: Fat Fashion, Fat Politics, Fat Beauty, Fat Art, a celebration of all things of size at the Q Centern (4115 N Mississippi Ave). The brainchild of Stefanie Snider and the Bertha Pearl, Bigger is an Art of Fashion Exhibit to show that fat and beautiful go together, that fat and provocative go together, that clothes made bigger will entice your imagination and […]
We can be disappointed by the real Academy Awards but Portland is great at making shunning the mainstream in favor of our own winners. Homomentum‘s Gaycademy Awards will be just such a show.
We have all been enthralled by the last five boldly themed shows and Saturday should be no different with a double dose of surprise out of town guests Jukie Sunshine and Alysia Angel as well as […]
Airport security will never be the same
The holiday season brought us a special Homomentum performance featuring the cold and snappy celebration of all things queer and seasonal. And you can catch just a glimpse of the white winter wonder with our Snowpocalypse photo gallery.
Performances included a very special TSA burlesque from KT Kusmal and Venus Envy, a final performance from drag queen provocateur Champagne, and a rendition of the Tchaikovsky’s Sugar Plum Fairy dance from Catitude.

As the first decade of the millenium draws to a close, so too does Pants Off Productions‘ performance trilogy Homomentum. The December installment of queer variety awesomeness celebrates the cold season with with a frosty Snowpocalypse! theme this Saturday night, 8pm at the E Room (3701 SE Division).
In memorium of last year’s December arctic blast the dancing queers are here to show off their ice princess steps with Snow Queen MC her/himself Max Voltage. But you won’t be cold for long when the heat of burlesque performers Pigeon Von Tramp and Portland’s burlesque diva Sahara Dunes steam up the frosty windows.

Delilah Sinn teases with her rubber ducky routine
Saturday’s second installment of Homomentum: Timewarp Talent Show hit the E Room like a ton of bricks and we have the snapshots to prove it.
Host Max Voltage was charming as ever in spectacles and rainbow suspenders, introducing a cadre of fun, if not particularly thematic, acts.

Homomentum's Timewarp Talent show this Saturday
Last month’s inaugural Homomentum installment was a freaky success and this sophomore expedition into our past this Saturday should be just as enjoyable. I can’t wait to see some mall hair, and stiff high bangs when the folks from Pants Off Productions bring on the Timewarp Talent Show.
This month’s performance pleasures include burlesque from Jodi Bon Jodi and Venus Envy, hip hop dance from Under the Radar, and the dragtastic spectacle that is Feyonce.

Homomentum‘s first performance in the aptly named E Room Tomb was a dark Halloween success. Fall has seen a slowdown in the queer nightlife calendar, but by shortly after 8pm the Tomb was filled with bright eyed audience members. Clocking in at just an hour it left us wanting more, which, luckily, we only have to wait a month for.

The Halloween season is upon us, and what better way to to kick off your ghoulish gayness than with a themed cabaret. This Saturday sees the first installment of Pants Off Production’s Homomentum talent shows at the E Room (3701 SE Division) at 8pm.
Crowd favorites Cattitude, Beefcake Burlesque, Untrained, I, and Pidgeon Von Tramp of the Von Foxies will all be a part of the debut performance. Seeing what they do with a sexy/gross 1920s Halloween theme will be creepily mesmerizing.

Catitude at the last Kick/Ball/Change
This Sunday saw the final installment of the queer dance extravaganza, Kick/Ball/Change. The performance, which included regulars such as Untrained, I, Catitude, and Beefcake Burlesque, also featured newcomers Under the Radar and a sexy solo by Carlee Smith. And though there were moments of hilarity and fabulousness, the performance was also tinged with sadness. And now we must be in mourning.
