B.A Baracus: "I pity the fool that pokes me in the eye with his gay hair!" Boy George:"Do you really want to hurt me?"
Fabu gay hero Lady Gaga and slightly dusty but still gaytastic crooner Boy George are duetting it up to make the possibly gayest song in history, reports The Sun. Despite the fact that The Sun ranks near the bottom (but above the National Enquirer!) […]
Trans Revolution dance party returns to Crush tomorrow
Just because you are trying to stick to your New Year’s resolution of not drinking, or at least drinking less, doesn’t mean your social calendar should suffer. We may be experiencing the post-holiday doldrums of grey and rainy January but there is still plenty of queer excitement left in the humid air.
This weekend sees at least 3 big events, the 3rd anniversary of the popular smut fest Dirty Queer, the return of the genderiffic Trans Revolution dance party and the continuation of the popular Homomentum performance cabaret.

Even my favorites aren’t safe from teasing. This is a pretty amusing little Lady Gaga Christmas album spoof in video form.
Lady Gaga gets in the holiday spirit with this compilation of soon to be classics such as Bad Snowmans and Ho-ho-Hoker Face .
Featuring: Justin Brown, Talyor Sele, Andrew Ford, Junie Kenworthy, Rachel Geiman, Mike Antonucci and Grace Helbig. Written and directed by Daniel Spenser, Steven […]
Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (L) aka Lady Gaga with Barbara Walters
I know that probably too much space is devoted in this blog to Lady Gaga but she is my favorite artist and musician right now (she’s so hot right now), she’s incredibly talented and envelope-pushing and she’s absolutely forthright in her interview with Barbara Walters. Sot it’s worth showing here.
Highlights include openly admitting bisexuality, feeling like a freak as a child, and wanting to be an inspiration to fans and young people, even if she doesn’t fit the role model mold.

Amy Turner and Kathryn Lounsbery of That's What She Said
Good looks are great, but nothing’s hotter than a lady that’s both sexy and funny. And while I have not seen the That’s What She Said duo in person the ladies of comedy have been getting rave reviews. (And I’m a sucker for a puffy rainbow jacket)
This Saturday at 8pm they take over the Q Center (4115 N Mississippi) to benefit Jeff Bader‘s increasing needs for in-home care as he moves forward in life with ALS.
In a town that has great club nights, concerts, food fairs and beer fests comedy is a much needed entertainment source. To find out more about these ladies check out their bio, along with hip pop hilarious U-Haul video below.

 'Fame Monster' album covers
Friend of qPDX Katey Pants had some great insights to offer on Lady Gaga‘s new album Fame Monster and she so graciously allowed us to share them here. Obviously, I’m already smitten with the new music video for Bad Romance but what do you think of the new release?

 Simian Mobile Disco
Has qPDX become a venue dedicated to weird music videos? Well, worse things could happen.
The official video for Simian Mobile Disco‘s Cruel Intentions, featuring Beth Ditto on vocals.
To be released on January 4th, Cruel Intentions is taken from SMDs latest album Temporary Pleasure which was released in August through Wichita Recordings.

 Forsorcers play Saturday night
If you thought it was hard to come out of the closet as gay then you may not know the stigma that can come from proclaiming your love of all things geek. And, just as queers have always had pride in our flair no matter what the mainstream is saying, so to will Fantasy Quest, is a queer weekend of role playing, Dungeons’n’Dragons, fantasy, magic and metal being held in this weekend.
Taking place Friday November 27-29th at the Liberty Hall (311 N. Ivy St) the weekend featuring workshops, art rock and metal bands, and late night fantastical after parties (at The Know 2026 NE Alberta) already has potential attendees scrambling to get into costume and character.

Though I am tempted to editorialize, I’m really much more interested to hear what you all have to say about last night’s Adam Lambert performance on the American Music Awards. In his first televised performance since the Season Eight finale of American Idol, Lambert aims to stir the pot. He also proclaims that any censorship would be discriminatory.

Katastrophe performs tonight at PSU as part of TDOR
Today is the 11th Annual Transgender Day of Remembrance, a day to mourn and memorialize those who were killed due to anti-transgender hatred or prejudice.
he event is held in November to honor Rita Hester, whose murder on November 28th, 1998 kicked off the “Remembering Our Dead” web project and a San Francisco candlelight vigil in 1999. Rita Hester’s murder — like most anti-transgender murder cases — has yet to be solved.
Although not every person represented during the Day of Remembrance self-identified as transgender — that is, as a transsexual, crossdresser, or otherwise gender-variant — each was a victim of violence based on bias against transgender people.
Portland events will take place tonight at 6pm at Portland State University in the MultiCultural Center – SMSU 228.
