Queer Portland Pride kicks it off @ Rotture TONIGHT

Just a quick note: There will be a Pride “Jump-off” party tonight a@ Rotture.

DJs Automaton (who is always a good time!), Girlfriends, Jenny Hayston. Tres Bux, party o’clock.

Rotture is 315 SE 3rd ave, behind office depot or max or whatever that overpriced deskset junkyard is called. 21+, sorry kiddos.

Just In: Portland’s Trans March changes name, launches website

The Portland Trans March, which previously marched alongside the DykeMarch as part of Pride is moving in a different direction and emphasizes this with a name change: The Trans March is now “Gender (Free) For All”, and the march will be taking place on August 1st, outside of Pride.

This Weekend: Gay Mart, Pinker Shade of Gay (Sat, not Fri!!), Dolly Parton Hoot Night…

It’s getting busy, folks. I know this by the fact that I am expected at 5 different events this Friday! Two are private events, but Pride is definitely heating up. We here at QPDX.com are going to try and cover as much as we can…so before you say “Hey! You didn’t mention/cover/go to/take photos of XYZ” remember there is only two of us (Adina is sadly out of town…).

Who is SuperGay?

Who is SuperGay?

SuperGay was spotted in Portland, OR - who is this queer superhero?

It has come to QPDX.com’s attention that a mysterious character known only as SuperGay has been spotted flying around town (and in the bean aisle at Fred Meyer) sporting a rainbow cape and a spandextastic outfit, and campaigning for the rights of queer people everywhere. I caught up with SuperGay on a local rooftop, where zhe was polishing their silver mirrored goggles with their rainbow cape, but before I could ask SuperGay how we can contact them, they just said “Same gay time, same gay channel” (I assume that means logo, but i don’t have cable) and flew off into the sunset with a barbie doll, a GI Joe, and a My Little Pony Unicorn clutched tightly to their chest. (the modern equivalent of riding off into the sunset, with the guy/girl i suppose)
