Ecstacy Inferno’s Candy Shop – The sticky sweet night brings the sugar for arts education in a benefit for the Right Brain Initiative, this edition of Candy Shop. And its easy to be generous Mizz Ecstacy Inferno, The Candy Shop Girls, The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Terrika StJames, Kourtni Capree Duv, Raijah Antoinette and more, not to mention lollipop suck off and body frosting contests.
What a Man Looks Like: Transgender Slam Poetry by Oscar Scandal McNary – Our neighbor to the south (Eugene) pioneer the genre of transslam with self-identified femme transfag Oscar McNary, who writes about his experiences as a polyamorous queer transman, a survivor of sexual violence loving his body, explicit consent and other topics.
Not Enough! benefit -Low key house party type fundraiser for Not Enough featuring a slew of bands (making it seem like we have more than enough) Magic Johnson, Blood Beach, Psychic Feline, Best Supporting Actress, Sexhair, Past Desires.
Other Voices Queer Writer showcase and benefit – Featured authors will A.M. O’Malley, Berlin Reed, Michael Sage Ricci, and Carter Sickels will be hosted by Alysia Angel in this benefit to raise money trans healthcare. There will be a bar, raffle, and silent auction so get there early.
Ladies Night at Embers – Let DJ Alicious bring you back to the days when this rainbow palace on Broadway was one of the only queer spots in town. Safe-space, no frills, donation based dance party is the perfect pre-funk.
Q’d Up sexy singles social – I’m always a little wary of these singles things but this all-inclusive Queer seeking Queer event seems pretty cute, and a good way to meet new people if you won’t be taking them home. Plus, they’ll have little Q’pids there to deliver ($2) your object of interest a lust note. Are this tiny matchmakers available themselves?
play/start album release – Official album release party for this rockin’ quad of driving drum beats, catchy hooks and an infectious energy. You can download their album, The Alibi now and be even more psyched to get the rock dance party started. Joined by Forsorcerers and Dexter Flowers it’s bound to be a an earful of indie cred and a damn good time to boot.
Gaycation – A well-loved regulars that gets the younguns on the dancefloor in a way that makes you feel both pervy and awesome, cuz you don’t know them yet. I can’t think of a better place to spend the rapture.

The Abbey new wave dance party – It can be tough to pull local queer partiers out of their pop bubble but it can be done and NoPo is the place to do it as we’ve seen with Dirtbag, which also appreciates a night of new wave and Morrissey. So don your Docs and rewatch 24 Hour Party People because it’s time to bust it out to some Joy Division, Echo And The Bunnymen, Brian Eno, Kate Bush, Talking Heads, Depeche Mode etc.
