Lindsay Lohan’s “eHarmony” dating profile

Oh I do love love a girl that doesn’t take herself too seriously. And really who hasn’t dated a few redheads who have been in a car chase or 2 and had a restraining order? I think I’ve dealt with enough crazy…maybe I should call her for a date?

More TV queers, tonight a tough cop on NBC’s ‘Southland’

Southland's John Cooper

In 2009 it queers still scour the small screen in order to find representations of ourselves. The recent debut of NBC’s Kings showed us a pampered, spoiled and closeted crown prince. As a villian he plays perfectly into the stereotype of the evil gay. But another NBC premiere tonight at 10pm may serve to provide a more nuanced gay character.

Southland‘s John Cooper (played by Michael Cudlitz) is a rough and tumble LAPD cop.

New video for ‘So Human’ from Lady Sovereign

Leave it to a Brit rapper with outlandish fashion sense to successfully break down the human condition. And the multiple personalities as displayed on magazine covers can offer a great start to a philosophical discussion as well.

One more thing. The therapist in the video is hot. Do you need any more reason to love this vid?

Rachel Maddow insults Jimmy Fallon’s sissy cocktail

Everyone’s favorite lesbian anchor, Rachel Maddow, continues to light up the screen on her show…and everyone else’s. Last night she appeared on Jimmy Fallon and they had adorable banter about drinking and masculinity. Although they may have already been a little tipsy, as both kept spilling the vermouth.

I am very privileged to almost always feel safe in Portland and I usually feel fairly confident that I will not be gay bashed in most of Oregon, certainly in our laid back coastal areas. But this weekend 2 young gay men, nursing students from western Washington, were beaten severely in Seaside, Oregon.

Rep. Barney Frank breaks it down

Logo news interviews prominent and openly gay Congressman Barney Frank about the current major political issues facing the LGBTQ community today. He keeps his comments quick, simple to the point and, for the most part, fairly positive.

He identifies 3 major steps forward he believes Obama can accomplish in his first term:

1 – A trans inclusive ENDA (Employee Non-Discrimination Act)

2 – A trans inclusive hate crimes bill

3 – Repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell

And while he was less sure about the timeline of a repeal of DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act) he thinks the fight is coming and it is worth it. Best yet, he blatantly and loudly calls Justice Antonin Scalia a homophobe. Go Barney! (I love you…You love me…)

Portia De Rossi apologizes for gay marriage on Jimmy Kimmel

My favorite part of this video is that the spot was paid for, in part, by the National Coalition of bonobo chimps. They’re my heroes after all.

Ellen’s bathroom song session with Katy Perry

Perhaps not quite as hot is it sounds but definitely cute. Also the irony and post-queering of Katy Perry singing a song about lesbian experimentation and then Ellen, an out lesbian, sort of covering the song is just too much. I could write a paper on it.
