Portlanders expect our hometown to be weird, and indeed, I think Portland could launch a thousand successful reality TV shows. What we don’t expect is to be upstaged by a small town neighbor. When the first openly trangendered mayor, Stu Rasmussen, was elected last fall, however, Silverton clearly got the best of us. Now they may beat us to the reality front as well.

Nothing new to us lesbos, nor should it be new to the Hollywood set, but breakups and drama happen. So it is really gossip-worth that Linsday Lohan and Samantha Ronson may be splitsville? Well, I guess that’s what gossip is.
However, though tabloids from People to Queerty are claiming the young gay dynamic duo are done, lesbians also know that these breakups can go ’round and ’round for a long time no matter how crazy the girl is or how many time’s Sam’s family urges her not to return.

This Saturday’s Burlesquire extravaganza still has me reeling on several levels so a cohesive review is still in the works. But what these interwebs are good for is transparency of process so, while I gather my thoughts I am happy to share with you yet another Winks and Hunks poor audio quality podcast.

Beau Breedlove in a particularly porntastic pose
Actually this little bit of gossip isn’t really as juicy as the title would seem to suggest but anything involving our intrepid mayor-fucker is bound to be newsworthy no?
According to gay-blogger-in-the-know Byron Beck, Breedlove has been dating a server from downtown’s Rock Bottom Brewery. Beck goes on to say that the other double B also left his number with […]
Hello everyone, it’s your co-author Perry here. I just noticed we have already started suffering from comment spam!
Please just bear with us while we get a captcha or something installed.
Edit: I installed Akismet, we’ll see if that takes care of the spam! Stay tuned….
As someone who is admittedly rather tethered to my iPhone I am all kinds of ready for gay dating to make its way to the location based computer god in your pocket. But, as usual, Grindr (iTunes link), released today, is only for the boys.
I suppose in reality you don’t need this service in Portland because on any given night you pretty much know where are the queer people are going to be, but as someone with occasional social awkwardness (which is also not unusual in this town) a technical crutch might be a handy aide.

Beau Breedlove on the cover of Unzipped magazine
Though the print issue (as if anyone cared…you can print out the picture to put above your bed right?) will not be on newsstands until April 7th, Unzipped has released the cover photo of Portland’s infamous mayor canoodler Beau Breedlove. (Breedlove had an affair with Mayor Sam Adams quite near his 18th birthday, just in case you missed that…) And I gotta say, despite your feelings on the whole debacle, it’s pretty damn hot.

Is one of these vests really worth $100 and another $10?
Newsflash! Gay folks are not all richy rich. Is anyone really surprised by this study? It is supposedly the first of its kind but I have known for a long time that us fags don’t wear Prada because we all can afford it but because we sacrifice.
On a sidenote, as I was so elegantly reminded in San Francisco, high fashion still continues to rip off our cheaper trendsetting secondhand treasures and marking them up times 10…at least. Then H&M makes a less quality version and sells it for only twice what the original beat up pair of trousers cost. This is what capitalism is all about folks…

Perhaps not quite as hot is it sounds but definitely cute. Also the irony and post-queering of Katy Perry singing a song about lesbian experimentation and then Ellen, an out lesbian, sort of covering the song is just too much. I could write a paper on it.
