Jasun Wurster (center) filed a petition to recall Mayor Sam Adams this morning. Attorney Erin Fitzgerald accompanied Wurster as they filed the papers with Andrew Carlstrom, left, of the city auditor's office. Michael Lloyd / The Oregonian

We are a bit slow on the uptake, seeing as it was two days ago that Jasun Wurster, leader of the campaign to recall Mayor Sam Adams, officially filed his paperwork. In our defense is was mostly due to technical site issues that barred us from entering anything at all!

Wurster and the rest of the Recall Sam Adams campaign have 90 days to collect 50,000 signatures. They have at least 17,800 so far.

In an Oregonian video by Michael Lloyd, Wurster explains the group’s process and motivations clearly:

On the other side of the Beau/Sam drama, rumors have surfaced that Breedlove has started an event planning business. The “good-gossip-if-it’s-true” comes from local blogger Byron Beck:

According to a very reliable source Breedlove has gone into the “events planning” business and has already lined up events, including a summer wedding somewhere south of Portland, to his social calendar. This is, according to my source, one of the many events that Breedlove plans to produce. Those in the know, know that Breedlove once tried out as intern for April Severson, one of this city’s top event producers, who Beau just so happened to be helping out at the opening of The Nines… At that time Beau was already talking about becoming an “events” person says one highly regarded source.
