Weekend Preview: Dirty Queer, Blow Pony, and Kick/Ball/Change

oh my fellow queers, i hope you’ve been saving your spare change and some brain cells for this bashtastic weekend, not to mention dusting off your dancin’ shoes.

The amazing Kick/Ball/Change will be happening this Sunday, but before then, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to get up and get down.

Kicking it off tonight, Friday, May 8th is the fantastic monthly Queer, X-Rated, Open Mic – Dirty Queer. I got to review this amazing event last month, which also serves as a great pre-funk for your weekend.6:30-9ish,  In Other Words Books,  8 B NE Killingsworth St. Sliding scale donation at the door. I’m sure we’ll see plenty of you at the Florida Room after, before Alley Hector and I dash off to lovebomb our visiting transatlantic friend at another local venue.

But have no fear, because you’ll see us punching our lights out, no doubt, at Saturday’s Blow Pony, at the Eagle Underground. NWth 6th and Davis. $3-5 cover. Party o’clock. From what I’ve heard, this is the one not to miss-it seems everyone and their dog-suit will be there. I will be having a fun time, i can predict that already.

The main event on Sunday is the phenomenal Kick / Ball / Change, hosted by the inflappable Sossity Chiricuzio, and featuring queertastic dance from the likes of Untrained, I, KO&Co., Kaj-Anne Pepper, Cattitude, and a whole lot more. Get your tickets here or at the door, which opens promptly at 7pm. Show at 8pm sharp.
