Q-Center's Winter Gala Feb. 18th, 2012
Earlier this week, Q-Center announced the 4th annual Winter Gala. The Gala will be happening February 18th at the Y.U. Contemporary Art Center.This event is to celebrate our community and also serves as the main fundraiser for the Q-Center. We can expect to see some awesome live entertainment.
Hal Gerard, the Ohio native and singer/songwriter will be gracing the stage with his guitar skills. Bob Mould, who was recently on Conan with the Foo Fighters, will also be playing. Aaron Altermose will also be showing his amazing talent on the piano. Don’t forget the gal power with Lisa Mann, who won the 2009 Cascade Blues Association Muddy Water’s award for best voice, and Amaya Villazan who is an artist known for her debut in “Clean House”.

What will never go out of style is the little black dress, a good glass of champagne, close friends celebrating, and Q Center’s mission of service. Our 2012 Winter Gala’s casual approach to elegance will take our guests back to the early 60’s where style reigned supreme and the club was the place to be seen. This year’s gala will affirm Q Center’s mission and inspire attendees to donate and support the organization’s commitment to our community.
General Admission for this event is $ 100.00. This includes entrance to the Gala at 7pm and the live entertainment that is prior to the program. You will also have access to the dance at 9pm with complimentary food stations and drink specials.
VIP Tickets run for $175.00. As a VIP, you will have access to the reception at 6pm. This includes complementary wine & beer. You will also have priority seating for the program and two additional drink tickets. VIP’s will have exclusive access to the VIP Lounge on the 2nd floor (after 9pm) and various food stations.Coat check is also included.
Sustaining the Q and Q Means Business Member Discounts: If you are a member of either of these programs you qualify for a discount ticket of $75! Limit 2 discount tickets per member. This discounted ticket will receive the same ticket perks as a G.A. ticket.
VIP Booths = $2500 for 10 guests. Interested in a VIP Booth? VIP Booths are limited. VIP Booth Perks: VIP reception entrance at 6:00pm with complementary wine/beer, specialty hors d’oeuvres and live entertainment. Priority seating for the program and two additional drink tickets. Booth VIP Guests will have exclusive access to the VIP Lounge with reserved booth seating that includes complementary wine/beer, specialty hors d’oeuvres and table service. In addition all Booth VIP’s will have access to the various specialty food stations on the second floor along with 1 voting token, a complementary group photo( one for each guest) and a great dance atmosphere. Coat check included.
The Q-Center has a very strong stamp in the Portland LGBTQ community and although times are tough, we should do what we can to support. Even if you can not afford to attend this event or donate, you can always look into volunteer opportunities.
