So we’re all still sad that the holidays are over and, more importantly, that Fruitcake is breathing its last breaths. And to top it off, its Monday. Lame. Still, we have the chance to gaily celebrate once again the emergence of a new weekly (that’s right not monthly when the full moon hits or some other bs) queer dance night, Manic Mondays.
From the quixotic minds of DJs Freddie Fagula, Lifepartner, Gottesfinger and Girlfriends comes an evolving boy/girl/whatever mixed night of dancing, music and mayhem. Tonight shall be just a taste, but future week-starters will feature live music, performances, and all forms of hot hilarity. I have no doubt that these four, including the dynamic brother sister duo, can bring it to Slabtown (1033 NW 16th Ave), a venue that has yet to host a queer night.
So let’s make tonight’s “soft launch” a hard one and pack this downtown industrial spot with moving sweaty gay bodies. Whew!
