What a weekend full of events my pretties! You may have missed last night’s second-to-last-ever Booty but you can still catch DJ Puppet this weekend at tonight’s Cut & Paste After party at Plan B (SE 8th and Main). She’ll be joined by fellow Portland DJ Mr. Charming so they’re sure to get your feet moving. Better yet, there will be live booty-shaking beats from Philly’s Pony Pants and Oly’s Joey Casio. Me and JC go way back to our adorable little munchkins days in an Arts High School….Ah memories. Not to mention the boy is a fantastic musician and has a brand new video, which I have included below.
But don’t get too tired tonight, because the party continues tomorrow with a special “We’ll miss our fellow queer dance night Booty” Double Down at Holocene (1001 SE Morrison). While DD lives on, this Saturday will dedicate itself to the memory of it’s dance revolution sibling. And be sure to start your engines for next week, when the last Booty ever will certainly kick us all into high gear (I hear there’s so much going on the festivities will start at 6p and surely go until the early morn…).
