Market Q just got a little bit sweeter with free brunch

Vegan cheese from Heidi Ho Organics

I’ve applauded the effort of the newly formed Market Q, a community farmer’s market on busy Mississippi Ave lovingly presented by the Q Center, Ali Williams and the LGBT community. Whether because of the cool, rainy summer (I have yet to see tomatoes in my yard or in my neighborhood)  the produce offerings have been slim, but the prepared food delicious. I’ve had vegan cheese, fantastic cupcakes and even an Asian inspired hot dog. But this weekend you can experience even more mealtime delights with a FREE brunch.

From 10:00am-1:00pm we will be preparing, serving, and showcasing our lovely vendors (Heidi Ho Organics, Tails & Trotters, Hungry Heart Cupcakes, Stumptown coffee, Pure Simple Juice, Blue Collar Baking Company, Victory Gardens, Agroworks blueberries, Valley Berry Farm strawberries, Retrieve Dog Bakery will have samples, Emerald Petals, Lady Fern soap, Platypress art, Borthwick Kitchen, and more!) in the south room of Q Center during the regular market hours. Come eat some tasty treats with us, listen to some great local musicians, and support your local LGBTA farmer’s market!

I feel you on the vegetables! It looks as though we will see them in August now… Until then all the greens, berries, and smaller veggies you can handle!
