Academic film adventures

I should probably add local queer blogger Joshua Gibson to my list of favs, because I read it more and more. The guy pulls no punches and the writing is sharp and witty. Today he highlights a particularly creepy way of jumping into your movie weekend with a queer reading of the horror genre. Completely cerebral and academic and I love it. I’ve been missing this. Maybe I’ll reread my own paper on queering female-fronted blaxploitation films. If you’re a closet entertainment intellectual they both should be satisfying. I’ll give you mine tomorrow.
