I’m sure you’re all recovering from the weekend, as am I, though I want to encourage you, once again, to upload your photos (c’mon you know you want your shining little Pride faces splashed up on OLive. It’s one way to come out right?).
Anyhow, the point is I have enough energy only for my usual Monday music post. And I did get a little more listening in this week, working from home. The last 3, Sleater-Kinney, Lamb and Le Tigre are just traditional favs of mine that I brought back for the week. Prideful or soothing, these were mostly oldies but goodies. LKN and Copy are more recent GBLT releases that really get me going. Copy puts me in a dancey party-mood while LKN is just plain revved up. I’m still waiting for the second half of her newest Postulate II. That message is for you eMusic…Ratat is just electro-hipster fun. But who knows, maybe they’re gay too.
My biggest fav this week, however, was Electrelane’s newest. I loved it so much I downloaded it not realizing I had already copied the CD from a friend. I guess that’ll teach me that I always need to be buying independent music, not just most of the time…
