For all the queers less politically cynical than me, you’ve already been to Wednesday’s rally for equality, and already have your ears pricked to find out what the courts have to say today about Oregon’s domestic partnership law that was supposed to go into effect the first of this year. Several queer media representatives are attending the tightly controlled hearing taking place now until 3 this afternoon. They are not allowed to live blog the proceedings but The Merc’s Amy Ruiz has promised to report back during any break so her coverage is likely to be the most complete.
The court may or may not come to a decision today, even after 5 hours, but be sure to check back here for my verbal vomiting of opinions that are sure to follow any of today’s decisions or lack thereof.
