‘She Had Wept’ experimental theater

she-had-weptTonight Q Center (4115 NE Mississippi) hosts a night of experimental lesbo theater when they put on She Had Wept.  A series of vignettes inspired by the poems of Michelle Le Blau (the writer/director) is an experimental piece that tells a remarkable coming of age story of one young lesbian, and imparts the many struggles that all women face in society today.

A collection of poems and monologues that take you on a journey through love, heartache, and suffering, this play is only up for one night and features local filmmaker Kirsten Kuppenbender.

The fundraiser for SMYRC is only 10 bucks and is followed by bands and a raffle. An early 6pm start to a fabulous Memorial Day weekend.

After-party: 7:30pm-10pm Performances by Sneakin’ Out, Kiss Kill, Johanna, Artwork for silent auction donated by Jann Arden and other local queer artists.
