June 14 – Block Party BBQ and Dance
Portland Black Pride is throwing the biggest party of the year! We’re closing down the street outside Crush (SE 14th and Morrison) to make room for our DJs, performers, BBQ and beer garden! The party starts at 4 pm and features a breakdancing performance and a very special musical performance by New York’s KIN. Soundbox, who has a regular show Saturday nights on KBOO-FM, will be spinning. At 10 pm, the party moves inside to Crush where Kutz D. Kutz and Seoul Brother #1 will spin the hottest beats the rest of the night!
Crush, 1400 SE Morrison. 4 pm – 2 am. Free

June 15 – Parade & Pride Booth
No time to be shy, say it loud, “I’m Black, Gay, and I’m Proud”. Unity Project of Oregon invites to you to march with us in Pride NW’s Gay Pride Parade this year as we celebrate who we are and re-affirm our presence in Portland’s GBLTQ community. The parade kicks off at 11:00am. Please arrive at 9:45am at the North Park Blocks at NW Davis to get your t-shirt and bottled water. If you need help finding our contingent just ask Pride NW volunteer. After the parade, stop by our booth at Portland’s Pride celebration at Tom McCall Waterfront Park.
