Back from a summer hiatus, Homomentum returns this November to a new night and a new home at the Fez Ballroom! Homomentum: a queer cabaret showcases queer dance, burlesque & performance-art, with tons of glitter and ridiculousness at every turn! The Homomentum series will begin Friday, November 5th with “Rebels & Outlaws” and continue every 1st Friday of the month through April 2011.
Homomentum is looking for performers! We encourage a diversity of performers, with a focus in dance, drag, burlesque & performance art, to be a part of this gay venture; we’re always looking for bright new talent! If you want to perform in Homomentum, send a short description of your act (genre & basic concept).
If the stage isn’t your thing but you want to be involved in helping make radical queer art happen, we’ve got a place for you, too! We’re looking for volunteers to help-out with fliering, working the merch table, videotaping, set-up & breakdown, and much more! If you have specific skills to lend to the cause, or are particularly compelled by a certain type of job, please let us know!
