Family Pride

In my present station as late-twenty-something, the trend of gay family-starting looms large in my horizon. It is both frightening and exciting. So while I may be staving off that last vestige of adolescence (i.e. not being partnered or with child) this PrideFest I’m glad that the Q Center makes a space for families, including the littlest members of our community.

This Sunday June 8th 2- 4 pm Q Center (69 SE Taylor Ave at SE Water Ave) teams up with the Oregon Children’s Museum to bring Family Pride. The arts-n-crafts extravaganza will be a welcoming place for all kinds of families who embrace the Q. So make sure to bring a light colored t-shirt to decorate and let the flamboyance fly free in our progeny.
