More on that weird partner adoption case

Remember when I told you about the rich lesbian Granddaugher of the founder of IBM adopting her lover so that she could legally inherit a portion of the fortune? Well, the case still sounds rather strange to me but at least yesterday’s New York Times article clears up some things. I never knew such a thing as adult adoption existed in any state but it’s pretty fascinating to me with vastly bizarre implications. Does anyone know if such a thing exists in Oregon?
