The 2013 ASANA Softball World Series will be held in August 2013 in Portland, Oregon.
The Rose City Softball Association, Portland’s LGBT and Allies Softball League delivered a proposal and presentation about the city’s facilities at the ASANA meeting held in San Diego over the February 18-19 weekend. ASANA is a national women’s softball association primarily allied with LGBT softball leagues around the nation. In Portland, the women’s division and open division are both governed by the RCSA.
The World Series, dubbed the Bridgetown Showdown, will be held in Portland during the second week of August in 2013. Several thousand softball players will come to Portland to play in the games, primarily at Delta Park. Host hotels for the event include the Downtown Hilton and the Lloyd Center Doubletree. Several Portland clubs and sporting events are lined up to host social events during the event.
