New kings on the block the River City RidersP-town has been without a full fledged troupe of drag kings for a couple seasons now and the loss has been heavy on my heart. But it looks like a new set of boys is ready to take the stage with their first full length show Thursday night at the E Room (3701 SE Division St).
The River City Riders are short on description but make up for it with knee socks, plaid, and face paint and will appear with special guests Tacoma-based kings The Royal Knights and MC Bolivia Carmichaels, LaFemme Magnifique Portland 2008. Also a part of the festivities will be pinup artist Karina Dale.
Tickets are 10 bucks for VIP seating and 6 general admission. And for those of you that know the infamously smokey Egyptian club the performance room will be completely smoke free. However, you’ll still have to navigate the treacherous smoke-filled hallway of girls you don’t necessarily want to see you get there.
