Last year QPDX introduced itself to Portland’s queer stage by parading on skates and bikes as a rainbow of sticker toting queer kids. This year I will not be in the parade itself, but the Q crew will be out in full force shooting video and taking pictures of all you lovely people!
Back at the waterfront we’ll be stationed in posts L1 and L7 on the North side near the food area (check out the map to see specifically) right next to Family Pride and the Oregon Bears. (Interesting combo, I wonder who decides the placement…)
We’ll have all kinds of schwag to hand out including rainbow feather boas, bracelets and stickers, which I’m sure both kids and bears can appreciate. We will also have the video camera set up so you can dress up and and send a “video postcard” to say “I wish you were here” to your friends around the world. Depending on technology we’ll either try to get them up right then and there, or it might have to wait until later in the afternoon. Either way your smiling faces will appear right here on this site.
