I’m pretty lucky myself, even if the field of technology (less so in journalism) is still a somewhat male dominated field, I have a workplace that is not only female friendly but very queer friendly as well. Sadly, even this this great country many of us dread work everyday for more reasons than the Monday blues. That’s why Lambda Legal has introduced Clock In for Equality, an action aimed at making work places safe for queer people. Sometime tomorrow May 15th take action to increase visibility of queer people in the workplace. LL recommends:
-Wearing a Clock In for Equality button
-Posting a sign making your work area a safe space for LGBT coworkers
-Hosting a community forum about workplace rights
