Can they travel back to a more primitive time and save the world from Linah Cocaine? (Wait, is that the plot? The drug addled stupor has left me unsure). Party begins at that nebulous sort of 10 o’clock party hour.
Saturday might bring you back to Holocene for what used to be the only Saturday game in town. And Doubledown is a game worth playing. But this particular day also brings the luscious sounds of gender-bending trip-hoppers, 3asic, at Crush (1400
SE Morrison). Beyond that, DD has a new persistant rival. Dunes (1905 NE MLK) has always been a lazy sort of queer accepting, if not promoting, tucked away little club, but now they’re proclaiming their queer affinity and heating up their tight dancefloor space with T-Back. And it’s ALL DAY! Tart may be the 4 o’clock early bird while most parties get started late. T-Back aims to go from 4 all the way to the wee hours…They’re pretty specific about what they’ll be spinning, Baltimore house, Miami bass, disco and hip-hop, so gay music snobs might finally have a venue. Plus, there’s free cookies, pretzels, gummy worms and Big League Chew! You’ve never felt so full and manly.
And if you’re still hot from all that weekend fun dive into Sunday‘s Chunk Dunk Pool Party at Peninsula Pool (700 N Portland BLVD 5-7p). Whether you’re a chubby or a chaser there’s sure to be wet and wild fun in Nopo.
