Hillsboro Unanimously Votes To Ban Discrimination

Oregon State as a whole may not have banned discrimination against LGBT people, but our smaller cousin to the west, Hillsboro, just has. Though the first comment on Basic Rights Oregon’s blog says that this gesture of support for the GBLT community means nothing without adequete enforcement, it is important to remember that hope and belief are powerful motivators. A unanimous decision in a suburb that has never seemed particularly liberal is a heartening one.
