NYC’s fashion week: The good, the bad, and the ugly

I have to confess that these judgments are all based on the photos from Queerty, and I’m no designer or seamstress. But I like to think I have taste so I’m going to take you on a brief highlight tour of what the lads are wearing. I was largely underwhelmed and often horrified. But I only have so much time and space to complain. Let me just say I did all the horrific outfits first…

The Good

Z Zenga

Layered but not overly complex. Nice semi-retro-futuristic boots, even if they will get dirty after one alleyway tryst.

John Varvatos

Simple and elegant while being casual at the same time. And I always appreciate neckware on pretty boys.

Tim Hamilton

Clearly original but keeping the over-the-top-nature of fashion in check.

The Bad

Brian Wood

Eww…this guy and his outfit are just plain ugly.

Tony Melillo

Stringing a t-shirt over your boring outfit doesn’t make it fashion. But I do appreciate the model’s Harry Potter glasses. Hot.

Marc Jacobs

What are we trying to say here? Strung out college boy on laundry day?

The Ugly

Duckie Brown

I don’t even know what to say about this…

Tommy Hilfiger

Pink seahorse pants will simply never be in style…or I want to disassociate myself with the human race.

Thom Browne

Supercalifragilisticexpealidoucious, even though the sound of it is something quite atrocious…

Thom Browne

I’m so distracted I can’t even concentrate on the hot model. Except for the strip of pale pastiness that are his upper thighs. C’mon, if you’re going to put him in shorts shorts you gotta take care of the tan lines.

Thom Browne

I hate to pick on one designer but wow…just wow…and I like weird…
