Homomentum’s Love Bugs

Aw, Valentine’s Day can be so cute you throw up in your mouth a little. And who knows what to expect from those freaky performance artists at Homomentum when they take on the pink and red clashing holiday. Puke is not out of the question, especially when organizer and emcee Max Voltage makes the claim that this month’s Love Bugs has the biggest lineup yet with Under the Radar, Pidge […]

A weekend of Dirty Queers, Trans Revolution and Homomentum

Trans Revolution dance party returns to Crush tomorrow

Just because you are trying to stick to your New Year’s resolution of not drinking, or at least drinking less, doesn’t mean your social calendar should suffer. We may be experiencing the post-holiday doldrums of grey and rainy January but there is still plenty of queer excitement left in the humid air.

Homomentum reaches stage 2 this Saturday with Timewarp Talent show

Homomentum's Timewarp Talent show this Saturday

Last month’s inaugural Homomentum installment was a freaky success and this sophomore expedition into our past this Saturday should be just as enjoyable. I can’t wait to see some mall hair, and stiff high bangs when the folks from Pants Off Productions bring on the Timewarp Talent Show.

This month’s performance pleasures include burlesque from Jodi Bon Jodi and Venus Envy, hip hop […]

Saying Goodbye to Kick/Ball/Change

Catitude at the last Kick/Ball/Change

This Sunday saw the final installment of the queer dance extravaganza, Kick/Ball/Change. The performance, which included regulars such as Untrained, I, Catitude, and Beefcake Burlesque, also featured newcomers Under the Radar and a sexy solo by Carlee Smith. And though there were moments of hilarity and fabulousness, the performance was also tinged with sadness. And now we must be in mourning.
